When do entries open?

Online entries are now open and will close on 3 April 2025.

When do I collect my race number?

T-Shirt and Bib Collection will take place that morning at An Halla between 10.00am -12.00pm.

Online Registration closes at 11.59pm on 3 April 2025. There will be no registration on the day of the race.

T-shirt guaranteed for online registration only on or before 24 February 2025.

What happens when I enter online?

Your credit card details will be processed and debited for entry fee amount. You will receive an e-mail detailing your receipt number.

Do I get a refund or deferment if I can’t run?

Sorry, we are unable to provide a refund but you may defer your entry until the following year if you can’t attend the current year’s event.

Can I transfer my number if I can’t run?

We will take entry transfer up until 28 March 2025. Please email eolas.gobnait@gretb.ie with your “Entry Name change Request” prior to the 28th of March 2024.

How do I get there / Getting Here?

You can fly with Aer Arann that departures from Inverin, get a ferry from Ros a Mhil in Galway. Or you can get a ferry from Doolin in Clare.

Will the course be marked?

The routes will be marked and marshalled as necessary.

Where can I leave baggage?

A baggage area will be provided at the race start/finish area. Items left in this area are to be labelled with your race number. Although every effort will be made to keep this area secure, the race organizers will not accept responsibility for items left in this area.

Will there be any drink station on the route?

There will be water stations along the route. Refreshments will be provided at the race finish in An Halla (Community Hall).

Where will the toilets be located?

Toilets will be provided at the race start/finish area.

Where will the First Aid Stations be located?

A minimum of two First Aid Points will be provided along the route. One will be based at the start/finish area and the second will be based at an appropriate point on each race route. Along with First Aid Responders also available during the race.

When will the results be available?

We will aim to process results as soon as possible after the race is finished. The results will also be available on the website https://inisoirrislandrun.ie/en.

Is there a race cut off time?

Yes- The course will officially close at 3.00pm. Race signage will be removed in accordance with this schedule.

Where is Inis Oirr?

Inis Oirr island is situated off the west coast of Ireland in Galway Bay. It is one of the group of islands known as The Aran Islands.
